Nzoia set to unveil Shikanda as their new head coach

Nzoia Sugar FC have settled on former Kenya international Ibrahim Shikanda as their new head coach, Citizen Digital has learnt.

The Sudi based club have not been stable in the technical bench after the sacking of  Coach Collins Omondi at the beginning of the year.

Shikanda beat another experienced coach James Nandwa and former KCB coach Leonard Odipo to the job.

A source close to the club confided in Citizen Digital that the Board has settled on Shikanda and that he will be unveiled later this week.

When reached for comment, club chairman Evans Kadenge said he will meet the board tomorrow(Wednesday) but he is confident the new coach will be unveiled this week.

“I will meet the boss tomorrow but what I can say is that we are going to unveil a new coach within the week,” Kadenge told Citizen Digital on Tuesday.

The sugar millers started their FKF Premier League campaign on a losing note, falling 0-2 away to promoted side Nairobi City Stars, and will be keen to get their campaign on track when they host Kariobangi Sharks this weekend at Sudi Stadium.
