Nyasa Bullets to have a feel of Kasarani as ‘Zico’ exudes confidence
Nyasa Bullets of Malawi, Gor Mahia’s opponents in tomorrow’s Caf- Champions League first leg preliminary tie are poised to have a feel of the Kasarani Stadium pitch this evening as they bid to acclimatize and polish their rough edges ahead of tomorrow’s epic battle.
The team is expected to have a light workout under floodlights at the match venue beginning 7pm.
At the same time, Gor Mahia, under interim coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno also held its training session today at the match venue ahead of tomorrow’s test.
Zico is bullish that his charges can rise to the occasion and post an impressive show.
“We are prepared. As professionals, the players also know what is expected of them. It is important that we get a win when we play at home and that is what we are working on,” Otieno told the FKF website after taking his charges through their paces on Tuesday.
Gor’s skipper Harun Shakava said: “We have had a good pre-season and the players are ready. We will give a good account of ourselves and hopefully we’ll pick up a positive result.”
Zico is expected to parade amongst others, the new signings; Kenneth Muguna, Nicolas Kipkirui , Shaffique Batambuze and Erisa Ssekisambu in tomorrow’s match.
Tickets will retail at Ksh 200 for the terraces and Ksh 500 for VIP at the match venue.
