Muguna handed Gor start against Lobi Stars

Kenneth Mugana is the only change in Gor Mahia FC’s starting line-up for their CAF Champions League second-leg showdown against Lobi Stars scheduled for Saturday at 5:00pm EAT.

Muguna replaces suspended midfielder Ernest Wendo in a three-man midfield that could see Humphrey Mieno adopt a deeper role to shield the back four.

Gor carry a healthy 3-1 advantage into the clash where the aggregate winner will seal a place in the money-spinning group stage of the tournament, a feat which comes with a KSh58 million prize.

Oktay’s assistant Zedekiah Otieno will return to the dugout having missed the first leg after he was sent to the stands during their away leg clash against Nyasa Big Bullets of Malawi.

Goalkeeper John Lawrence, Chile Izu and Alimi Sikiru return to Lobi Stars’ starting line-up with Samad Kadiri leading the frontline.
