Mafuta ready for PL duty with Vihiga Bullets

Evans Mafuta is confident of successfully steadying newly promoted FKF Premier League side Vihiga Bullets in the top league, after taking over from Edward Manoah.

Manoah resigned soon after leading the team to the topflight, and Mafuta was on Tuesday officially tasked to lead the Vihiga County based team in the new season.

Former Silibwet FC coach who also served as Nairobi Stima FC assistant head coach, has expressed his gratitude to the management of the club for the opportunity while congratulating the players for making it to the top tier league.

Mafuta believes Bullets can stamp authority in the league and keep their slot by the nd of the campaign which starts on Saturday.

“My objective is to deliver good results that will see us maintain playing in the FKF-KPL next season. Currently, the club is in a stable state and I don’t expect any changes as we face our first opponents in the top league.

“I urge the club officials and players, we work together and we can take the club to the next level,” he added.

Mafuta will be assisted by Milton Kidiga in their maiden campaign of the Premier League, which they open against Bidco United on Saturday at the Bukhungu Stadium.
