Leopards ready for KCB test, says Juma

AFC Leopards football operations manager Tom Juma says their clash against KCB FC on Sunday can be a true test of their FKF Premier League title credentials.

KCB have made a storming start to their season, winning all six of their opening FKF-PL matches and will put their perfect record on the line when they visit Leopards at Kasarani.

Juma, who is deputizing interim head coach Antony ‘Modo’ Kimani, says KCB will present them an opportunity to test their own strength despite missing winger Harrison Mwendwa who remains sidelined due to a hamstring issue.

“Apart from Mwendwa the rest of the squad is available for selections on Sunday. I expect a match full of energy and entertainment,” Juma said.

Ingwe are sat in position five with nine points, six behind leaders KCB with a match in hand after winning three and losing two with KCB having extended their perfect run to six matches.

Meanwhile, KCB head coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno has attributed consistency and addition of quality players into his ‘project’ from last season as key to their perfect start.

“We kept our best players from the campaign last season and also made some good signings during the transfer window that have settled very well. This season is more competitive but I’m hoping we will continue with the momentum we have started with,” Zico said.
