KPL club Nzoia set to launch new bus
Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Nzoia Sugar FC is set to launch its new team bus after devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa delivered on a three-year pledge to the club.
A delegation led by the team’s patron Micheal Makokha received the bus in Nairobi on Wednesday with the official terming the donation as a morale-booster.
“Finally we are bringing the beautiful lady home. We thank the CS and all those who have helped us financially in one way or the other,” Makokha, who is also the CEO for the team’s main sponsor Nzoia Sugar Company LTD, said adding “the bus will ease our movements within the country and trust me we are going to be a force to reckon come next season.”
The team’s Chairman Evans Kadenge who is also in the delegation was elated.
“It was long overdue and we would like to thank our Patron Micheal Wanjala Makokha for all the support accorded to us since coming on board. We have a clearly laid down our plan to make sure that the team basks in its deserved glory. The bus will ease the burden incurred by hiring transportation means,” he said.
Also in the delegation is the public relations manager Florence Mutinda, captain Peter Gin Juma, Benson Mangala and budding youngster Ian Simiyu.
