Kenya’s Chipu book finals date with Namibia

Kenya Rugby 15’s Under – 20 team demolished Tunisia 73-0 in the Barthes Cup played at the KCB Ruaraka ground on Thursday.

The team also Known as Chipu will play defending champions Namibia in the finals on Sunday after they outclassed Senagal 45-12 in another semi-finals.

Beldad Ogeta scored four tries to help  Paul Odera charges score ten tries converting eight.

Captain Boniface Ochieng led by example landing Chipu first try from a loading maul Dominic Coulsen conversion sailing wide for a 5-0 lead.

Magnificent Dominic Coulsen worked his magic through the Tunisian defense offloading to George Maranga who landed Kenya’s third try with Coulsen converting it.

Ogeta landed his brace off a grabber kick from scrum half, Coulson converting it to make it 26-0 at half time.

In the second half George Kiryazi stole the ball from the line out passing to the offensive Dominic Coulsen allowing Jeff Okwach to open up in the wing landing another try for Chipu, with Matoka scoring the conversion to make it 33-0.

Michele Brighetti got a brilliant chip and chase racing down the 50 meters to score a centre post Matoka easily converting.

Reserve scrum half Barry Robinson landed a try right under the post corner, Matoka converting for a 47-0 lead.

Okwach scored his brace after a one two play from Brighetti and Ashley Matoka doing what he loves best to make it 54-0.

Kiryazi went over the whitewash Matoka converting it to make it 61-0.

Ogeta scored his fourth try Matoka converting to make it 68-0.

It’s like a walk in the park for Chipu as George Maranga scored at the corner conversion going wide to make the scores 73-0 at full time.
