Kenya ready to host World Corporate Golf Challenge

Kenya is ready to host the world corporate golf challenge that begins next week on Friday at the Royal Nairobi Golf Club, event chairman John Gatharia has said.

The competition is the biggest world corporate golf challenge, attracting over 250 participants and will be used to select a team that will represent Kenya in the world finals in Portugal early November.

“The people who will be visiting the country will see Kenya as tourist destinations and will also be looking for investment opportunities which will help in the growth of our economy, things that will be valuable to the nation.

We are very ready for the tournament I have met player from Royal club and others from different club and everyone is looking forward to the competition, we are going to observer all covid 19 regulations during the event,” said Gathaiga

The winners in the qualifying event will receive an all-expense paid trip to the finals where they will face countries including Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, USA, India,Japan Colombia, Malaysia, Australia and Mexico.

The captain for Royal Nairobi Club Sylvester Odhiambo says they are ready and determined to shine.

“Let our opponents come knowing that we are well prepared and ready to compete against the best. We urge our competitors to come earlier and feel the course so that when the competitions starts they are familiar with the surface .

We are the best and still want to be the best I know we are going to win the competition, “Stated Odhiambo

The finals will be held at the Oitavos Dunes Golf Course and the Quinta da Marinha in Casles Portugal.
