The Kenyan rugby fraternity is mourning the death of 22-year old Ian Waraba who passed away on Saturday after drowning at Wamuini Dam in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.

According to a report made at the Kiminini Police Station, the Kenya Harlequins player was in the company of friends at the dam for a swim session when tragedy struck.

Divers from the Kenya Red Cross team in Kitale retrieved Waraba’s body from the dam on Sunday.
