Kabras, Nondies rain the tries as Kenya Cup action hots up

Kabras Sugar recorded their third consecutive victory thumping Top Fy Nakuru 50-8 at the Kakamega Showground on Saturday to move back to the summit of the Kenya Cup table.

Tries from former Shujaa flyer Brian Tanga and Felix Ayange, returning from the international duty, set Kabras on course for the huge victory while Ugandan Phillip Wokorach added the extras.

Nakuru scored a penalty through Hannington Wambwire to make it 17-3.

But Ayange, simply unplayable in the afternoon, continued tormenting the opposition collecting a pass from Wokorach to score his second try with Paul Abuto converting it to make it 24-3 at halftime.

Kabras got more points from Wokorach’s converted try, with Ayange adding another, his third of the afternoon, which was unconverted. Wokarach added another which was uncovered as Olando landed another which went unconverted too.

Barry Robinson replied albeit late for the Wanyures with Kevin Keegan converting it to make it 50-8.

In other matches, Impala thrashed Strathmore 16-9, Nondies clawed Menengai Oilers 28-8 as Blakblad cruised to a 31-19 victory over Mean Machine as Homeboyz fell 15-35 to Harlequins.
