Kabras crush Quins to win Charity Cup

Kabras Sugar are the new Sisimka Charity Cup champion after defeating Kenya Harlequins 29-10 in a match played at Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi.

Kenya Harlequins took a 3-0 lead through winger Evin Asena who scored a penalty in the opening minutes.

Fijian Jone Kubu scored a try for Kabras Sugar but missed the conversion to make it 5-3.

The western based side looked more stronger as they demolished the Quins defense to land their second try as Hilary Odhiambo went over the whitewash with Kubu adding the twos to make it 12-3 at halftime.

In the second half Kabras continued from where they left adding the third try through Derrick Ashiundu who headed to the right corner and Kubu converted to make it 19-3.

Quins were reduced to 13 players after Lyle Asiligwa was sent off while Leroy Kamau got a red card.

Kabras  accelerated the gear adding their fourth try through Brian Juma with Kubu missing the extras to make it 24-3.

George Nyambua added his name on the score sheet after going over the try line making it 29-3 for Kabras.

Experienced Dennis Muhanji scored Quins only try after landing a center post try with Evin Asena converting  to make it 29-10 at full time.

The Kenya Cup is expected to kick off its campaign next weekend.
