Iswekha unfazed despite KCB form ahead of league clash

Zoo Kericho FC head coach Herman Iswekha is confident his side will bag three points when they take on KCB in their next Football Kenya Federation Premier League  fixture this weekend.

This is despite their poor form that has seen them collect only seven points in their 13 outings so far, while high flying KCB are only second to leaders Tusker FC, with 29 points.

Zoo held Western Stima to a barren draw at their backyard Green Stadium in their last match, and Iswekha is bullish his boys can milk the Bankers KCB dry.

“We are going for three points and nothing less; our matches against KCB have mostly been evenly balanced so we are optimistic,” Iswekha told Citizen Digital.

Zoo just recorded their first win of the season beating struggling Vihiga United 1-0 and Iswekha says his side needed just a win to ignite a better show in their subsequent assignments.

“The three points came courtesy of hard work and good coordination on the pitch. It was long overdue and I believe it will open doors for many more in our forthcoming matches. The players can now build on this win.”

“Sometimes, when the team is struggling, a win can change a lot of things. I’m sure you will see changes when we play KCB,” he concluded.

Zoo are currently bottom of the table, having drawn four games and lost eight, winning just one. They have also conceded 19 goals and scored just seven.
