Harambee Stars remain static in Fifa rankings, Senegal top Africa

National football team Harambee Stars have remained static at position 106 in the latest Fifa rankings.

Kenya, ranked 25 in Africa, comes second in the Cecafa region behind leaders Uganda who are ranked 77 in the world with Sudan(128) ,Rwanda(131) and Tanzania(134) settling in third, fourth and fifth regionally .

Walia Antelopes of Ethiopia sit sixth behind Tanzania in the region and 146 in the world.

Apart from the Cecafa Senior Challenge which Kenya managed to finish third after beating Tanzania 2-1 in Kampala, Uganda, the Francis Kimanzi led side, like most teams, have not been active internationally since registering a 1-1 draw against visiting Togo on November 18.

Africa Cup of Nations finalists Senegal have once again maintained their top spot ahead of second placed Tunisia with Nigeria Super Eagles coming at a distant third above champions Algeria who have settled in fourth.

Atlas Lions of Morocco, Black Stars of Ghana, the Pharaohs of Egpyt, Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Mali and Dr Congo from Central Africa complete the top ten in that order.

Meanwhile, the Roberto Martinez coached side Belgium are still  top of  the world for the second consecutive time ahead of world champions France with Brazil, England and Uruguay making it to the top five in that order.

Argentina and Colombia entered the top 10 this year displacing Switzerland (12th) and Denmark (16th)
