Gor turn their Twitter guns on AFC Leopards, Ulinzi Stars

Kenyan Premier League (KPL) eternal rivals AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia FC trolled each other on social media on Wednesday with the dethroned champions also turning their guns on Ulinzi Stars who started a ‘Tweef’ with K’Ogalo a day earlier.

With nothing left for the grand giants of domestic football, Leopards and Gor have taken their turf wars to social media with Tusker FC clinching the domestic league and cup double as Muhoroni Youth scooped the KPL Top 8 knockout crown.

In light of world governing body FIFA directive that KPL should accept an expanded 18-team league, K’Ogalo grabbed the opportunity to fire a broadside at Ingwe for their woeful season that would has seen Leopards slump to 13th.

“@AFCLeopards Have you got wind of the BREAKING NEWS? It could just be 18 teams next season, we hope they drop 4!!!”  @OfficialGMFC tweeted.

Leopards quickly hit back by taunting Gor for their trophy less season having tweeted a congratulatory message to 2016 KPL champions Tusker FC in an earlier post.

“Jambo @OfficialGMFC, the truth is we all played for nothing in 2016. Just like Hillary, let’s accept & move on,” as they chided the dethroned champions who like defeated Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton in the 2016 US Elections, had been tipped to bag the crown for a fourth year in succession.

Gor continued the social media confrontation by alluding to the suspension of four key Ingwe players over disciplinary issues including allegations of match-fixing.

“@AFCLeopards no, we can’t be associated with you. Aren’t you that outfit of “business men”? Let FKF deal, 4 teams down 6 up #Sirkal”

K’Ogalo then goaded Ulinzi who had earlier fired a salvo to them following their elevation to play in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup by virtue of Tusker winning the league last Sunday.

Gor xing.ontation by alluding to the suspension of four key Ingwe players over disciplinary issues including allegations of match-fiposted a photo of the Military Men lining up for a guard of honour in the 2013 season during when Bobby Williamson led them to a first title in 18 years, unseating the Brewers who had won the 2011 and 12 seasons.

With only one round left before the stagehands bring down the curtains to the 2016 KPL Leopards can only muster a 13th-place finish – their worst in seven years.

Tusker have been quiet as their rivals take to social media to vent steam, perhaps content they did all their talking on the pitch with K’Ogalo leading the social media trolling standings thus far.

It is the only ‘league’ that can be thankfully played during the international break ahead of the November 19 season finale.
