Gor Mahia to simplify E-ticketing for Mashemeji derby

Gor Mahia will simplify the e-ticketing system to be used this Sunday during the Mashemeji derby at Kasarani Stadium to enable all mobile phone users have  easy access to the tickets.

Club CEO Lordvic Aduda says the system will be as easy as buying items via mobile money and the club will later on Tuesday reveal to the public how the USSD works to address the previous online challenges.

“We have had challenges before and have kept correcting the errors. For this derby, I believe everything will flow and all mobile phone users, regardless of the type of the gadget will be able to get online tickets,’’ he  explained.

Aduda in an interview with Citizen Digital revealed that the major challenge they have faced before has been the verification of genuineness of the online tickets adding that most crafty online masters have defrauded the club before by generating ‘ook-alike tickets which are later sold to  unsuspecting fans to access stadia.

Gor will host Ingwe in this season’s first Mashemeji derby on Sunday at Kasarani Stadium from 3pm with the former having won all their league matches this season. They sit at position two on the log on 15 points, same as AFC Leopards who have played three matches more.

‘”Before the days ends, we will let the public know how to go about the new easy procedure which takes less than two minutes to generate a genuine entry ticket. We will not go back to the old ticketing system regardless of the challenges earlier encountered,”added Aduda.

The local giants who were over the weekend eliminated from the CAF Confederation campaign on a 3-2 aggregate loss to Congolese powerhouse DC Motema Pembe are now fully focused on the local league.

Tomorrow they’ll continue with their local campaign against ‘Slum Boys’ Mathare United at Machakos’ Kenyatta Stadium from 3pm.

Mathare, like Gor is unbeaten in this season’s campaign but sit a distant 9th after winning only two matches and sharing the spoils in five others.

A win for Gor will lift them to the helm of the log above brewers Tusker who are currently commanding leading the log on 16 points out of eight outings.

The current Gor Mahia tactician Steven Pollack has never had a test of the Mashemeji derby as the head coach while his AFC Leopards counterpart Caster Mbungo having suffered a 3-1 defeat in the hands of Gor in his first test of the derby at Kasarani on May 19 at Kasarani.

In another development, the CEO divulged details of the club’s partnership with Muhoroni’s Agrochemical Patriot brand saying Gor will pocket Sh5 from the sale of each bottle of the drink.

“This is not bad since at the moment we have not a single sponsor. This can help solve some of our financial problems. Last season K’Ogalo ended their league campaign at the summit to earn them their historic 18th KPL title
