Gor dumped out of CAF Confederation Cup
Gor had needed to win Sunday's return leg at the Nyayo National Stadium having lost the opener 1-0 in Brazzaville a week ago but could only muster a 1-1 draw.
The visitors got off to a lively start in Nairobi when striker Roland Okouri put the visitors ahead in the 10th minute after getting on the end of a loose ball for which Gor had failed to clear from a free-kick.
K'galo got an instant response through John Macharia and it appeared there would be a goal-fest only for the goals to dry up as Otoho locked the doors on Gor to progress.
Gor had the opportunity to go 2-1 up in the 55th minute through Jules Ulimwengu who was found with a long ball but the forward could only fire his effort wide.
Another clear chance for the Congolese side came in the 80th minute after striker Mohendiki was left with goalkeeper Gad Mathews but he could not find the composure to bury it.
Gor were massively disadvantaged during the opening leg with two of their players forced into quarantine after they tested positive for COVID-19.
They remained in the country as the rest of the squad returned home, only returning on Thursday after Gor mediated to have them released.
K’Ogalo will now shift their focus to reclaiming the top-flight title from Tusker.
