Four-star Homeboyz make light work of Stima

Kakamega Homeboyz thrashed rivals Western Stima 4-0 in an FKF Premier League match played Saturday afternoon at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega while in Nairobi AFC Leopards and Posta Rangers shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw.

Homeboyz started the match on a high scoring three goals in the first 20 minutes through Stephen Opoku in the third minute, George Odiwuor in the ninth minute and David Okoth  in the 14th minute.

Despite both teams making changes in the second half, Homeboyz managed to add the fourth goal through substitute Steve Wakanya,  an easy tap-in in the 67th minute after getting a cross from winger Moses Mudavadi.

Western Stima head coach Juma Abdallah has blamed his defence over what he termed as laxity in the early minutes of the game, a they soaked three goals in the first half.

” I talked to my defence before the match not to lose concentration but they let me down, but all is not lost as we are focused on our next assignment away to Bandari,” said Abdalla.

However his counterpart Nicholas Muyoti expressed his excitement with his boys performance, saying that they played according to instructions.

Homeboyz are now 10th on the log on 21 points from 17 games .They  will be travelling to Nairobi to play Posta Rangers in their next match.
