Ex-Stars boss Kimanzi appointed Wazito head coach

Former Harambee stars head coach Francis Kimanzi has been officially unveiled as the new Wazito FC head coach ahead of the new season that is expected to kick off next week.

The former Mathare united and Tusker Fc head coach will be assisted by former Kenya U20 coach John Kamau who has also served as Harambee Stars’ assistant coach.

Kimanzi was recently the national team Harambee Stars before leaving the role on mutual agreement last month while Kamau has previously handled Thika United, Posta Rangers, KCB FC, and FC Talanta.

The money bags have also announced Samuel Okoko as the team’s goalkeeper trainer Koko joins Wazito from Mathare United where he was the keepers’ trainer.

The club has also recalled sports Scientist, Sylvia Kariuki, who will now be in charge of the players’ monitoring.

Wazito will begin their 2020/2021 season with an away game against Kariobangi sharks on December 28 and having finished 13th last season Kimanzi who won the league with Mathare united in 2008 will be tasked to turn their heavy investment into success next season.
