Delirium for Thika United as they retain KPL status

The Nicholas Muyoti coached Thika United have retained their spot in the 2018 Kenyan Premier League after holding Ushuru FC to a 0-0 draw in the return leg of the relegation-promotion play-off contest on Sunday afternoon at the Narok Stadium.

The outcome saw Thika safeguard their status after winning the first leg 2-1 on Thursday at the Thika Sub-County Stadium.

Earning the spot did not come easy though as the milk men had to sweat water and blood in 180 minutes of high octane football.

At the Narok Stadium, chances were blown by both sides, even as each team defended their guards. Muyoti’s boys will however toast to a first leg victory that guaranteed the top-tier position.
