Bandari line up more friendlies ahead of season opener

FKF Premier League side Bandari FC are scheduled to play two more friendlies this week as they heighten their preparations ahead of the long awaited season kick off.

According to head coach Ken Odhiambo, his boys will tackle Mombasa Combined on Tuesday and later on face Port Police on Wednesday at their Mbaraki Sports Club backyard as they bid to fix their striking department ahead of the new season.

“There are few things we need to rectify and that is why we are playing two more friendlies as last touches,” explained Odhiambo.

Ken has at the same time expressed his satisfaction with the players who rejoined the team from loan spells.

Captain Bernard Odhiambo, defender Hassan Iddi, wingers Benjamin Mosha and Darius Msagha, together with goalkeeper Michael Wanyika – are all continuing with the recovery sessions ahead of the kick off this weekend.

“Magige and Chacha are ready to go except for a few injured players who have started light training ahead of their recovery.”

Bandari have played a series of friendlies winning against Coast Stima, Shanzu United and Viva Manyota before a draw against Congo Boyz.

Should the kick off proceed as planned, the dockers will open their campaign against Zoo on Saturday at Mbaraki Sports Club.

And as part of the requirements ahead of the kick off, all the members of the technical bench and the playing unit will be subjected to  Covid-19 screening at their training base ahead of their season opener.

“We will be having the exercise tomorrow but here we have been taking the measures as washing hands and sanitizing,” stated Odhiambo.
