Bandari keen to finalise hunt for new coach

Bandari FC vice chairman Bernard Osero has assured that they will have a new tactician before the new year once the recruitment process is completed and the contract signed.

FKF Premier league side Bandari FC is in the process of recruiting a new head coach ahead of the league resumption after Ken Odhiambo ditched them for rivals Sofapaka FC.

“We are still in the recruitment process but we will unveil him before the new year,” Osero said.

Osero declined to specify whether the coach will be sourced locally or from abroad with rumours indicating there’s preference for a foreign coach while others outlined Gor Mahia assistant coach Patrick Odhiambo as the next Bandari Coach.

“We have not identified one so it is hard for me to say his nationality but it was open for anyone”.

Bandari have played their last two league matches under the watch of assistant coach Nassoro Mwakoba losing against KCB and draw against Posta Rangers.

On poor results, Osero added that not having a coach has contributed to their poor performance but insisted that things will be well when the league resume January next year.

“Of course players need a coach and not having one at the moment has build up poor results from the playing unite”.

The Dockers will host Western Stima on January 3rd 2021 at Mbaraki Grounds in Mombasa.
