All set for Chapa Dimba Rift finals in Eldoret

Preparations are complete at the ASK Showground in Eldoret for the Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom Rift region finals slated for tomorrow 23rd and Sunday 24th of March.

The eight youth teams that will participate, today received mentorship and life skills training from renowned football stars; Titus Wamalwa – former Kenyan legendary footballer and Doreen Nabwire – former coach cum player for Harambee Starlets.

The clinics are meant to equip the players with useful life skills including; discipline, teamwork and positively transferable behaviors to propel them into becoming successful players. The clinics are part of Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom programmes conducted at every region during the regional finals.

“I am very delighted to share my football journey and experience with the youth to prepare them for the future. Mentoring players at this stage of their lives is key to building their future career as professional footballers. We applaud such an arrangement because it is one of the surest ways to pass down life skills needed for a career success in football”, said Titus Wamalwa, Chapa Dimba football Mentor.

New regional champions will be crowned in the Rift after defending champions Kapenguria Heroes and Tar Tar Girls were edged out during the knock-outs.

Solidarity boys from Transzoia will be playing Al Ahly from Kajiado while Narok’s White Rhino FC will take on Tumkas boys from Uasin Gishu in the boys’ semis. In the girls’ category Itigo Gils from Nandi will face Bomet Queens as Kitale Queens from Transzoia meet Nakuru West Queens.
