The scriptures advise that if your hand or foot leads you to stray, then you should cut it off. But because two become one in marriage, the hard task of cutting the offending limp can be assumed by a spouse. At least that seems to have been the case in Nyeri where a scorned wife reached out for a knife and cut off her husband guilty organ.
