Woman linked to Vioja Mahakamani actors killing fails to take plea

A suspect linked to the killing of the late Jamal Gaddaffi, a Vioja Mahakamani actor, has been arraigned but did not taken a plea.

Grace Kananu Namu, the woman who allegedly stabbed Gaddafi to death was to answer to the murder charges on Tuesday for the case to commence.

However, the Machakos High Court was told that the medical report was not available.

When Justice George Odunga asked the Prison Department why the suspect had not been taken to Mathare Hospital, he was told that the psychiatrist had gone for December holidays and could not attend to her.

On December 27, the court heard the matter and ordered that she be taken for medical assessment.

The judge has ordered that that the test be done this week for plea taking on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.
