Woman dies from stomach complications after feast at neighbours house

Police in Migori County have launched investigations into an incident where a woman died hours after eating at a neighbour’s house.

Confirming the incident, Oruba sub-location Assistant Chief Charles Ouma said the body of the deceased – Anne Awuor – was found in her rental house on Saturday evening.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Mr. Ouma said the cause of death is still unknown but that the police suspect Ms. Awuor succumbed to stomach complications after a feast at a neighbour’s house.

The administrator said Ms. Awuor had previously sought the help of a herbalist claiming she was bewitched.

The body of the deceased has since been moved to Migori Level Four Hospital mortuary pending police investigations and autopsy.
