Woman dies after jumping off the 19th floor of a building in Nairobi CBD

A police report obtained by Citizen Digital indicated that Charity Muthoni had visited her friend, Benjamin Kibet, who does printing business, on the ground floor. 

The duo engaged in a conversation over a cup of tea until 3:45 pm, when Muthoni excused herself to attend to an important matter. 

Shortly after, she texted Kibet that she had decided to jump from the 19th floor.

Muthoni left her shoes, jacket, and mobile phone and fell on top of a tent erected on the ground floor, where she succumbed to the injuries. 

Nearby witnesses contacted the police, who rushed to the scene to document, process, and move the body to the city mortuary. 

According to the report, Muthoni's motive to die by suicide is yet to be established.
