Woman arrested over death of 59-year-old man at lodging in Kuria West

Police arrested a female suspect over the death of a 59-year-old man at a lodging in Kuria West.

According to Ntimaru sub county police boss John Losia, the man checked into a room at the lodging in the company of the suspect on December 26, 2020.

It is alleged that after he used drugs to boost his libido but a few hours later began to complain that he was feeling

Mr. Losia said the suspect informed the hotel management and the man was rushed to Mother and Child Health Centre where he died while undergoing treatment.

The police boss said the matter is under investigation and the suspect has recorded a statement.

The suspect told police that she declined to take the sex enhancement drugs because she was unwell and only ate bread and a soda which the man had bought for her.

The body has been moved to a nearby mortuary pending an autopsy.
