VIDEO: Several Mumias residents claim they were assaulted by police officers

Pressure is mounting on the relevant authorities to take action against police officers who were involved in an operation to recover stolen firearms in Mumias, Kakamega County, last week. At least thirty-five people told the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights that they had been assaulted during the operation mounted by the officers from the general service unit, with at least two women claiming they were raped.
