Two students killed after motorbike rams landcruiser in Kirinyaga

Mourning has gripped Kiamuthambi Village in Kirinyaga Central after students died in a motorbike accident.

One was a form three student while the second one sat for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) this year.

According to witnesses, the motorbike hit a Landcruiser on the Gakoigo-Njegas road killing the two instantly.

Kirinyaga Central OCPD Doreen Oduor said the deceased, aged 18 and 19 years old, were speeding when they lost control and a hit a land cruiser on the busy road.

The police boss has urged parents to take care of their children this festive season.

“We suspect they took the motorcycle from their relatives because they are still in school,” she told parents.

Bodies of the deceased have since been transferred to the Kerugoya Level Four Hospital mortuary.
