Two notorious gangsters arrested in Nyandarua

Police have arrested two suspected gangsters believed to have been involved in a series of criminal activities within Nyahururu and Nyandarua West Sub Counties.

The two; David Kireithi Mwangi and Harrison Kihara Njiraini, were arrested by DCI detectives at Kasuku town in Nyandarua County.

According to the DCI, the two together with others who are still on the run had been involved in several robbery with violence incidents which include; violently robbing an AP officer of his Ceska Pistol on November 23, 2019.

They are also alleged to have robbed a person of Ksh.3,000 at Karai area in Nyandarua on November 30, 2019. They were confronted by motorcycle riders and fled, leaving behind a ceska pistol magazine with ten rounds of ammunition.

The same gang, according to the DCI, robbed several motorists of their ignition keys along Olkalou- Nyahururu road on December 1, 2019 and were involved in another robbery with violence incident on February 8, 2020 at Success bar in Nyahururu town where revellers allegedly lost their valuables.

Upon interrogation they led the detectives to a makeshift structure in Nyahururu town where a Ceska pistol that had been stolen from an AP officer on November 23, 2019 was recovered.
