Three killed in road accident in Siaya

Three people died on Sunday night in a road accident near Nyang’oma area along Siaya-Nyadorera road in  Alego/Usonga Sub-county.

According to Siaya Sub-county Police Commander Justus Kucha, the accident involved a motorcycle carrying three people and a Toyota Wish vehicle.

He stated that the motorbike was heading on the same direction with the speeding vehicle that hit it, killing the three people instantly.

The police commander further disclosed that after causing the accident, the driver of the Toyota Wish fled abandoning the car, which was found carrying illicit liquor known as Simba Waragi.

The bodies of the deceased were removed to Siaya County Referral Hospital mortuary and the vehicle towed to Siaya Police Station as further investigations continue.
