Three children who perished in fire laid to rest

Family, friends and relatives turned up in their numbers to bid farewell to the children three who perished in a fire incident in Meru.

The three, Dennis Waithaka, 13, Nickson Munene, 6, and Baby Winnie Wanjiku, 2, were laid to rest on Wednesday at their father’ s home in Kangema, Murang’a County, two days after their relative Boniface Kimaita (27), and his brother Jimaris Muriuki (20) were buried.

The children and the other two members of their family died after the house they were sleeping in caught fire at Nchaure Village in Meru County last week.

The speakers called for speedy and thorough investigations to determine the cause of their death, saying their mysterious  death was a big loss to the family.
