Strange phone call that led parents to missing Form 1 student in Rongo

A Form One student in Ndhiwa who went missing over a month ago under unclear circumstances has been found in Rongo.

Rongo is approximately 44 minutes away from Ndhiwa.

Vincent Ochieng Omondi from Ndere Mixed Secondary School was found at a home in Kanga village after Radio Ramogi highlighted the story of his disappearance.

The 16-year-old had disappeared from his parents home in Lang’i village, North East Kanyamwa Location on October 16.

A man only identified as Obwana said after hearing the news of a missing boy, he asked the minor to give him his parent’s phone number.

He then called the father—Charles Omondi Ondii—and told him that he had  ‘rescued’ the boy.

It was not immediately clear what the boy had been rescued from.

After the phone call, the father Ondii and his wife rushed to Kanga village where they reunited with their son.
