Sossion suspended from Trade Union Congress office

Wilson Sossion has been suspended as the Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress of Kenya.

According to a letter said to be from the union and dated July 30, Sossion ignored a directive to respond to allegations of gross misconduct and show-cause-why.

“The National Executive Board in its meeting held on July 24, 2018 reviewed administrative actions relating to your gross misconduct and show-cause-why letter dated 27th April which you did not respond to,” the letter reads.

His suspension is to take effect immediately, pursuant to the Constitution of the Trade Union Congress of Kenya (Tuc-Ke).

The letter further states that Dr. Charles Mukhwaya will take over from Sossion in acting capacity.

“That consequent to that suspension you hand over all documents/properties of Tuc-Ke in your possession,” the letter signed by Charles Mukhwaya reads.
