Six killed, 7 injured in Mtito Andei road crash

Six people have been confirmed dead and seven others injured after a road accident at Kanga area near Mtito Andei on the busy Mombasa-Nairobi highway.

Confirming the incident, Makueni County Commissioner Mohammed Maalim said details of the accident are still scanty and promised to issue a comprehensive statement later.

Five of the deceased dead on the spot while one succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment.

The injured are presently receiving treatment at Voi Hospital while bodies of the deceased were transferred to Makindu Hospital morgue.
