Obado due in Nairobi after DCI grilling over Sharon murder
Migori Governor Okoth Obado is set to fly to Nairobi after hours of grilling at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices in Kisumu.
Alongside Obado will be his personal assistant Michael Oyamo and journalist Barack Oduor. Sources intimate that the trio was whisked away from the DCI offices, straight to the Kisumu International Airport from where they are set to fly to the country’s capital.
The Migori County boss and Oyamo have since undergone DNA tests to establish whose unborn infant Sharon Otieno was carrying when she was killed.
Carrying white boxes and donning white lab coats, detectives from the homicide section and officers from the government chemist were on Tuesday afternoon spotted making their way into the Nyanza Regional DCI headquarters in Kisumu, where Governor Obado was being grilled.
Obado had earlier on presented himself at the DCI headquarters in Kisumu at around 9am upon summoning by the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti.
