Rasanga vows to sack lazy county officers

Siaya County Governor Cornell Rasanga has warned lazy county workers to shape up or ship out.

Rasanga said this being his last term in office he will not tolerate any form of laziness.

Speaking during his inauguration ceremony at Siaya County Stadium, Rasanga said he is geared to cement his legacy as the first governor of Siaya.

The governor reminded all county workers that it is through their efficient service delivery that will see him leave behind an admirable legacy.

He said from Tuesday he will to start negotiations with nurses, adding that he will ensure that Siaya County shines in all aspects in his last term.

“I want to ask those who own makeshift structures in town to consider renovating them before my notice,” he warned.

The seemingly rejuvenated governor also put on notice public land grabbers, saying he will repossess the lands in a span of one month.

“Politics come and go, but Siaya county will remain hence the reason why all should unite for a common goal,” he advised.

In a show of unity, all Siaya County’s elected MPs and MCAs attended Rasanga’s swearing-in ceremony.
