Nyamira Governor Nyagarama sacks County Secretary

Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has sacked County Secretary Eric Aori over what has reportedly been termed as “poor service delivery.”

Governor Nyagarama directed Mr. Aori to hand over his office to deputy County Secretary Thomas Nyariki.

In a letter dated May 10, 2018, the Governor questioned Aori’s performance of duty, thereby putting his office into disrepute in terms of service delivery.

Although Governor Nyagarama has been on sick leave for the past three weeks, Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo confirmed the authenticity of the letter and stated that the decision to sack the County Secretary was as a result of consultations within the Executive.

Aori’s contract was scheduled to end in June 2019.
