Nurse arrested for impregnating 14-year-old girl in Machakos

Police in Yatta, Machakos County, are currently holding a nurse for impregnating a 14-year-old Form One girl when she went for treatment.

According to reports, the girl went to seek medical attention at Kimutwa dispensary in September 2020 when the incident occurred.

The nurse went into hiding after the girl, who was expectant, informed her parents about what had happened.

Reports say the nurse was transferred to another hospital in Kitini. 

The girl, a student at St. Mary's Languni Yatta Secondary, has since given birth to a baby boy.

The suspect is presently being detained at Yatta Police Station awaiting arraignment in court later on Tuesday.
