Nanyuki lorry runs over three passengers leaving limbs severed

Three people were seriously injured on Friday night after a grisly road accident at Nanyuki Town.

A motorcycle operator and his two passengers; a woman and a man, were run over by a lorry.

The two men had their legs crushed while the woman’s hand was severed.

They were rushed to Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital.

The accident which occurred at midnight after the lorry driver tried to avoid a speed bump but hit a motorbike instead .

Police have launched a manhunt for the driver and his turnboy who escaped unhurt and disappeared from the scene of the accident.

The vehicle has been taken to Nanyuki Police Station.

Motorcycle operators from Nanyuki town are urging police to ensure traffic laws are followed to protect all road users.
