Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori dies in hospital

Msambweni Member of Parliament Suleiman Dori is dead.

Dori died on Monday morning at the Aga Khan Hospital in Mombasa where he was undergoing treatment.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) indicated that the MP succumbed to cancer.

President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga are among the top leaders who have expressed their condolences following Dori’s death.

The President described Dori as an astute politician who served his constituents with utmost commitment.

DP Ruto mourned the Msambweni MP as “a moral enthusiast whose leadership advocated for equal justice.”

“Ambitious, ingenious and committed to public service, Mheshimiwa Dori was indomitable, a moral enthusiast whose leadership advocated for equal justice. We will miss his firmness, wise counsel and vigour to improve the lives of the people the Coastal region,” .said Ruto in a tweet.

Raila Odinga said: “My heartfelt condolences go out to the people of Msambweni and family of Ramadhani Suleiman Dori who has passed on this morning. May the Lord grant his family comfort at this difficult moment and may his soul Rest In Eternal Peace.”
