Machakos man killed by mob after stolen cow found in his homestead

Villagers at the scene where the suspect was lynched

A suspected stock thief has been lynched by an angry mob in Koma area after a stolen cow was spotted at his compound in Matungulu sub county, Machakos county.

Confirming the incident, Matungulu OCPD Monica Kimani said that Charles Nzioka, 38, was set ablaze Sunday morning by an irate mob after villagers who were combing the area looking for a lost cow found it in his homestead.

Nzioka, upon questioning, failed to give a suitable reason on how the cow got to his homestead.

The already enraged mob quickly subjected him to mob injustice before setting him on fire.

The body has been taken to Kangundo level 5 hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy.
