Lets meet at the ballot, Raila Odinga tells those opposing BBI

ODM leader Raila Odinga now wants Deputy President William Ruto and his team perceived to be opposing the BBI referendum to meet at the ballot.

Odinga speaking in Nyandarua County on Friday re-affirmed that the BBI referendum will benefit the counties from Central region.

He dared Deputy President William Ruto to the BBI ring, telling the Tanga Tanga wing to mount a ‘NO campaign’ against the BBI referendum and square it with the YES team at the ballot.

“Those opposing the BBI have a democratic right to oppose the BBI. Let them come out to the field and give their reasons and we shall also speak, then Kenyans will decide if they want it (BBI) or they don’t,” said Odinga.

Odinga, who was accompanied by several Governors and MPs from Mount Kenya region, maintained that their handshake with President Kenyatta will eventually bear fruit especially for the Mount Kenya region.

In Taita Taveta, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi was also rooting for the BBI warning Kenyans against electing leaders in 2022 who will not help in reviving the economy.

Elsewhere in Maseno and Homa Bay, leaders campaigned for the BBI referendum bill.
