Lands Ministry sets up help desk for title deed conversions

The Ministry of Lands has established a complaints help desk at Ardhi House to handle queries on conversion of title deeds.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Lands CS Farida Karoney said any person with an interest in land within the registration unit and is aggrieved should lodge a complaint to the Registrar.

“In this regard, we wish to notify the general public that we have set up a complaints help desk at the customer care center within the Ministry’s Offices at Ardhi House, 1s’ Ngong Avenue, Nairobi to handle queries and complaints,” reads the statement.

The CS said the complainant will be required to complete forms LRA 96 set out in the Second Schedule to the Land Registration (Registration Units) Order, 2017 or LRA 67 set out in the Sixth Schedule to the Land Registration (General) Regulations, 2017.

The Forms can be accessed from the complaints help desk or downloaded from the Ministry’s website www.lands.go.ke.

While submitting the complaint, one will be required to attach certified copies of the Identification Card and P.I.N as well as indicate their contact address and telephone number.

The complaint shall be recorded by the Registrar who receives the complaint and assigned a case reference number to facilitate follow up.

“Complainants shall be regularly advised on the progress of their complaints,” said the CS.
