In a memo sent out by the University, the reporting dates have been scheduled as per the different courses.

Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Applied Human Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Architecture and Built Environment students are required to report on Monday, October 21 with their lectures set to begin on Tuesday, October 22.

Those undertaking Environmental Studies, Agriculture and Enterprise Development, Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Studies, Security, Diplomacy and Peace Studies, Business, Economics, Creative and Performing Arts, Film and Media will report on Tuesday and classes will resume on Wednesday.

Pure and Applied Sciences, Education, Humanity and Social Sciences students will report on Wednesday while classes will begin on Thursday.

All undergraduate students at the main campus will be required to pay Ksh.500 for damages incurred during the strike.

During the unrest, the students engaged police in running battles, causing heavy traffic snarl up on Thika Road as they staged a protest over welfare issues.

Led by their student leader Joshua Ayika, the learners demanded the resignation of Prof. Wainaina over what they termed as “historical injustices.”

The students lamented over the early deadline for fees payment, the administration forcefully directing students from Nyayo hostel to use a fly over within the institution among other issues.

They further accused the school administration of suspending fellow students and student leaders on “petty basis” besides charging Ksh.2500 for supplementary examinations.
