Kenyatta, Leaders Condemn Muchai Killing

President Kenyatta has described Muchai as a humble and diligent gentleman who was a true servant of the people.

The Head of State says the death of Muchai is a huge loss not only to his family and the people of Kabete Constituency who he served with dedication but also to the entire nation.

President Kenyatta says investigations into the killings are already underway.

The President says he expects the police to mobilize all resources to ensure the criminals who murdered Hon. Muchai, his two bodyguards and driver are speedily apprehended and made to pay for their heinous act according to the law.

Messages of condolence continue to trickle in following the killing of Muchai, his two bodyguards and driver early this morning.

Among those who have sent their messages of condolence to the family of Muchai are opposition CORD Leader Raila Odinga who has termed the murder by the gunmen as bizzare, beastly and shocking.

Odinga has urged government and police to conclusively investigate the incident and bring the culprits to book.

Senators Mike Sonko, Kimani Wamatangi, Omar Hassan and Kipchumba Murkomen, Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu are just among other leaders who have also condoled with families of the four.
