Kenya records 599 new coronavirus cases, 1062 recoveries, 2 deaths
599 people have tested positive for the new coronavirus in Kenya, pushing the country’s cumulative total to 26,436.
The new infections are from 4420 samples tested in the country between Saturday and Sunday.
The cases consist 593 Kenyans and 6 foreigners aged between 1 and 82-years-old.
373 of the new cases are male while 226 are female and are distributed across the country as follows:
Nairobi (318) ,Kiambu (70), Nakuru (38, Machakos (38), Mombasa (28), Kajiado (26), Isiolo (10), Kakamega (6) and Kisumu (4).
Kenya has also recorded the highest daily recovery with 1062 people being discharged from various facilities and home care programs.
At the same time, the coronavirus fatality in the country rose to 420 after two people succumbed to the virus.
