Kayole: Woman, 24, stabs two children to death after argument with her mother

Police in Nairobi are investigating an incident in which a 24-year-old woman stabbed her two kids to death on Saturday night at their Kayole home.

According to reports seen by Citizen Digital, Winfred Nduku was enraged after her mother asked her to prepare dinner for her kids who had already slept hungry.

She had returned home late and was on her phone prompting the mother to ask why she was yet to make dinner.

It is then that she reportedly dashed into the kitchen, grabbed a knife and started stabbing the two children aged 7 and 2 years before attempting to kill herself with the same knife.

The woman’s mother told police officers that her daughter had been threatening to kill the children before the incident.

After stabbing the children, Winfred allegedly attempted to stab her mother was but was quickly overpowered and thrown out of the house.

The two children were rushed to hospital but they had already succumbed to their injuries.

Nairobi county Police commander Philip Ndolo said the suspect is currently receiving treatment at Mama Lucy Hospital and will face criminal charges once discharged.
