Kabogo is a criminal Waititu

Kabete Member of Parliament Ferdinand Waititu is now accusing Kiambu Governor William Gitau Kabogo of “various crimes” which he claims to have been committed in regards to the illicit brew menace in Kiambu county.

Speaking at Thika Technical Training Institute on Sunday, Waititu further accused Kabogo of inciting and supporting merchants of second generation brews whose properties were destroyed to take him to court and sue him for damage.

The legislator, however, defended his recent raid on bars in Kabete saying that during his by-election campaigns, he had pledged to wipe out illicit brew once elected.

“My raids were fulfillment of my promise. They were approved by even the president but the mode I used to have maximum impact differs with that of the President,” Waititu said.

“If the rest of the MPs would use my style, we would achieve a lot in the fight against the alcoholism.”

Waititu further dismissed Kabogo’s claims that they never attended the same Indian varsity.

“We attended the same campus with Kabogo but I was 5 years behind him,” said the legislator.

The MP intimated that he is currently undertaking his masters and come 2017 he will floor Kabogo in the Kiambu Gubernatorial race.

He was accompanied by MPs Alice Wambui Ng’ang’a (Thika), Francis Kigo Njenga (Gatundu North), Moses Kuria (Gatundu South), Ann Nyokabi Gatheca (Woman Rep) and nominated MCA Mary Mwangi.
