Juja MP Francis Munyua Waititu is dead

Juja MP Francis Munyua Waititu is dead.

The family confirmed that he died on Monday evening while receiving treatment at MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi.

Leaders from across the political divide took to Twitter to express their condolences.

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya said: “My heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and people of Juja constituency following the death of Hon Francis Munyua Waititu aka Wakapee. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Kitui West MP Edith Nyenze said: “My deepest condolences to the family, friends and constituents of Juja constituency following the passing-on of Hon. Francis Munyua Waititu. May God give you fortitude to bear this great loss.”

Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga said: “My deepest condolences to the family, friends of Hon. Francis Waititu “Wakapee” and the people of Juja Constituency, Kiambu County. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief. Hon. Wakapee was a distinguished personality and a true development oriented leader. RIP”

Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut said: “Fare thee well Ndugu Francis Waititu Death is cruel. It is well. Rest In Peace!”

Molo MP Kuria Kimani added: “He was such a good man. Very respectful. Very resourceful. This world is truly not our own. Rest with the angels Hon colleague: Francis Waititu aka Wakapee, MP Juja”

And former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo said: “My sincere heartfelt condolences to the family of my late friend and also my home MP Hon. Munyua “wakapee “ was to see him this afternoon and I felt a bye bye coming from him. I treasure the fond memories of over 30 yrs of our friendship. Fare thee well my friend.”

Former Bomet East MP Nick Salat said: “My deepest sympathies go out to the family of the late Juja MP Hon. Francis Munyua Waititu (Wakapee). May God give you the peace that you seek. My most sincere condolences.”

Francis was my close friend whom we shared a Parliamentary Select Committee on implementation.
